Hello, my name is Luca Fontana and I am in my third-year of a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Calgary. I will be working with Scholars Edge this summer for the second year in a row, providing high quality painting services to the residents of Calgary. Scholars Edge is a student-run painting company teaching students business skills while providing a valuable and reliable service to the community. As someone pursuing a career in finance and business management, running my own business with Scholars Edge has been an amazing opportunity for me in gaining both confidence and experience for my future. As last year’s Rookie Operator of the Year out of 40+ first years competing for the award, I am confident that my past experience and dedication to my business will lead to continued success in 2025. Through my organization, time management skills, and commitment to my business, me and my crews completed over 60 jobs last year with a total valuation north of $200,000.
